... at least once a year :)
For the fourth time in a row, swing dancers from Maribor organized an event that
hosts a number of different acts with one thing in common: they should not exceed 3 minutes in length. Apart from dance performances (among which belly dancing), we have seen a guy dressed in black from head to toe doing a modern "poi" (in my own words: creating light patterns against a dark background in a rhytmical way, using some sort of juggling implement) a PowerPoint presentation and even a sustainable fashion show. Very chic!
I was amazed at the number of visitors. Even though the hall (the Gustaf hall in Pekarna) was bigger than Satchmo club, where the event was held in previous years, it was still bursting at its seams with visitors and dancers. Now, I am not sure whether it is the Maribor scene that has grown so much or is it the neigbouring scenes (Ptuj, Celje, Graz) that have grown, but it doesn't really matter. The party that followed was alive and kicking untill 5 in the morning, which speaks in its own right ;-)
I wasn't very enthusiastic about taking pictures, so here are just a few random snaps of the atmosphere before the show started:
